Kaserne Duo

Kaserne Duo was created out of a shared desire to explore new musical territories together with longtime friend and experimental guitarist Alessandra Novaga.

Composer and musician Stefano Pilia has written a new work especially for the duo, which will be recorded for its world premiere.

Stefano Pilia’s work takes shape from melodic and harmonic profiles generated by triangular numbers, unfolding through a series of canons and mirrored lines that endlessly renew the same musical form. Conceived as an open and exploratory score, it invites the performers to shape its temporality, timbre, and expressive direction, turning the piece into a shared space of listening and transformation for violin and guitar.
