Kaserne was born from a shared desire to explore new musical territories together with experimental guitarist Alessandra Novaga.

For this project, composer and musician Stefano Pilia has written a new work especially for the duo, bringing violin and guitar into a vivid and constantly evolving musical dialogue. The piece takes shape from melodic and harmonic profiles generated by triangular numbers, unfolding through canons, mirrored lines and forms that continually renew themselves.

Conceived as an open and exploratory score, the work gives the performers freedom to shape its temporality, timbre and expressive direction. The result is a music built through listening, transformation and interaction — a shared sonic space created anew in performance.
